"Freaky Forensics" at the Haleyville Library
June 14, 2007
Over 150 children attended the Haleyville Library to kick off the Summer Reading Program "GET A CLUE @ at your Library." The McWane Scieence shared with children the differences in blood types, and how to determine in a fire what type of fabric was burned and the differences in chemicals when investigating. Jennifer McInnish with volunteers read skits on identifying positive reinforcement and making good choices. The Summer Reading Program is a 4 part series that will be held June 21 - Sensible Detectives "Discover the Mystery of the Five Senses" — June 28, featuring Investigator Tim Stein and other members of the Haleyville Police Department — July 12 Archeologists Dig for Clues and July 19 Detectives in Disguise "Fun Dress Up Day." Children K-6 are encouraged to come and join the fun this summer at the Haleyville Public Library. |
